How To Order

µ All birds come with a complete pedigree. I usually send the pedigree via e-mail as a Word attachment you can print out at home. If this procedure is not satisfactory to you, I will be happy to mail you a hard copy of the pedigree via snail mail.

µ Your complete satisfaction and health of birds is guaranteed. J Return your birds within 7 days and your money will be refunded, no questions asked. Return shipping charges your responsibility.

µ I must have cash, money order or certified check before birds are sent. If you send a personal check, I will wait until it clears the bank before shipping birds. I can accept credit cards via our PayPal account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, it is easy to open one. Go to www.paypal.com.

From time to time I will sell birds on the installment plan. I will hold specific birds for you with a small deposit. You can send payments at your convenience and once the birds are paid for, I will ship them.

µ Buyer pays freight. Birds shipped in re-usable N.E.S.T. Express Mail , crates. Add $40 for crate and postage within continental US for orders of one or two birds, $50 for orders of three or four birds. Additional handling and shipping charges may be applied on orders sent to Hawaii or outside the United States.

We have used United States Postal Service Express Mail more than a 100 times to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, within the last year deliveries that used to take less than 24 hours now often take two days. However, the birds have always arrived in good condition. Some pockets of the country still are not taking live animal shipments. If in doubt, check with your local post office.

Once your birds are shipped I will notify you via e-mail and send the USPS tracking number. You can track the progress of your shipment by visiting www.usps.com.

µ Orders from outside the US are welcome, but because of the amount of work involved in veterinary inspections, US Dept. of Agriculture certificates and researching airline schedules, a $3,000 minimum order and $500 deposit are required. Please inquire if this applies to your country. If you are interested in having birds shipped internationally, you must fully inform yourself of the regulations and certificates imposed by your country. You also need to investigate airlines that have services to your nearest international airport from Newark (NJ) international airport. You may wish to engage the services of an agent or broker that has experience with importing live animals from outside your country. Hiring a broker may cost you a little more, but in the long run it will save you many hours of work and insure that your government officials accept your birds. There is nothing worse than having your birds confiscated and even destroyed when they arrive in your country because you did not follow all the proper procedures.

µ Young bird sex not guaranteed. I do the best we can to provide a specific gender, but sometimes I am fooled.

PLEASE NOTE: High temperatures and humidity may delay shipments. If temperatures rise above 90 degrees F and the humidity is high, I cannot risk shipping pigeons. This frequently occurs during late June, July and August. I will keep a close eye on suitable shipping conditions and if the weather cooperates, I will send your birds out as soon as possible. You should stay informed of weather conditions and forecasts in your area and keep me advised of adverse conditions.
